...then the wine’s a flowin’. Which works out well for a city credited with an abundance of breeze. We’ve got three wine tastings this week, each special in its own way. So let’s get down to it.
On Wednesday, Dan from Wine DOC is in the shop sampling out several of his stellar wares including The Ned Sauvignon Blanc, Roccafiore Rosso Melograno, Durigutti Malbec, and Musella Valpolicella. The Durigutti Malbec is bright, dark red in color with perfumed aromas of blackberry, currant, violet, licorice and menthol lifted by hints of herbs and pepper. Supple, ripe and nicely concentrated, with sweetness restrained by vigorous, harmonious acidity. It finishes thick, with fine-grained tannins and lovely lingering fruits and herbs.
Then this Friday, Heather from Rootstock will be pouring Colli Euganei Prosecco, Slang Rosé, Dupond Pinot Noir, and Luccarelli Primitivo. Luccarelli Primitivo has a youthful ruby color with purple highlights. Black-cherry, plum and spice aromas with a dry, medium body and ripe black fruit flavors with balanced acidity and fresh finish. This is the perfect wine for a cold night and some pizza.
Finally, on Saturday, Kelly, from Fresh Coast, will have several bottles open throughout the evening starting at 4 and ending at 7. The tasting will consist of LCS Riesling, Domaine Berian Pinot Noir, LCS Cabernet Sauvignon, and everyone’s favorite, Cherry Wine! Swing by and say hello to us!
